New Product Owner

As we have already commented on other occasions, the figure of the product owner is fundamental in Scrum. It is a profile that is like a mini ceo of a digital product or project. In addition to the commercial and market vision and communication skills with the client, it is important that you know well the events, resources and elements of a scrum team and agile methodologies in order to get the most value in each iteration.

Pablo Pazos

The case of Pablo Pazos has a history behind improvement and change. Having already worked in other sectors and disciplines, he made a 180º turn and decided to reconvert to learn programming and train in digital technologies and in the world of software. After applying to various job offers from the company, he finally started as a programmer with special expertise in frontend. Given his abilities to manage, communicate and organize projects, he has pivoted towards a role of product owner rather than a programmer. His strong point is that he has enough knowledge to handle technical conversations as well as more business meetings.

Today he is involved in various products and clients, among which we can count Citiscoope’s and he combines short development tasks with Product owner tasks. This is allowed by Scrum, since a scrum master and product owner can also be developers or part of the development team.

Hack a boss

Hack a boss is a training company that offers intensive courses for people who don´t have a specific academic training in computer science or programming. Possible has been a Hack a boss partner since 2020 and thanks to this collaboration we receive or reach us profiles such as Pablo Pazos. He training in programming languages was in hack a boss.

Growth

The incorporation of Pablo is due to the growth of the company in recent years, given that as the development team grows, so must the team of Project managers or Product Owners. For this reason, we incorporated a new Product Owner to the staff without problems.

Not all projects or clients require this profile, since some companies already have their own Product Owner. This internal profile can deal directly with the engineers and technicians, make the decisions of what to prioritize and how to maximize the value of the product in each sprint. But for those companies or projects that do not have these profiles, it is important that the company can make them available to customers so that they have a profile that understands the vision of the business. Also that they understand the logic of it, the point of view of the end users and not only the functional part, the technical challenge that it poses or the system and infrastructure for its operation.
